The experienced medical staff of the Medical Occupational Maritime Center is able to provide valid and thorough instructions depending on the destination, according to the latest medical guidelines and other scientific data, both before and after the journey.

 Specifically

  • Pre-travel information, advice and instructions on measures of disease prevention according to destination
    Vaccination for the prevention of infectious diseases according to recommendations of the World Health Organization and depending on the country of the destination
  • Issue of an International Certificate of Vaccination
  • Instructions and prescription of special medication – chemoprevention for infectious diseases (malaria, etc) recommended for specific travel destinations
  • Instructions regarding the pharmaceutical treatments to be taken during a trip
  • Revision and if necessary modification of the traveler’s chronically administered drugs
  • Investigation and treatment of health problems (fever, diarrhea, rashes and other symptomatology) that occur after returning from the journey to the country of residence to locals but also to foreigners living permanently in Greece (VFR’S).
  • Issue of Medical Certification in relation to infectious diseases carriage which poses a risk to Public Health
